Swing and a miss.
Fox News is is one of many bringing out the truth with their sources to back it up.
Your chore is to prove it wrong.
I'm certainly not surprised you'd say that, given your non-stop spreading of Fox News in real-time here on OSA. They've proven it themselves, so that work is done. I don't know why I'm still so surprised that you think Fox News is so trustworthy, but I still am...it's psychologically rich, for sure.

Truth is a funny thing. Everybody can report things that are factually true, but by omitting certain details, shape the people's perception. To wit:

Ignoring the relative bias of the first three, one can't doubt that they all fail to acknowledge the fourth (which is clearly more important).

It's entirely possible to be 100% factually accurate and yet still be untruthful, to miss the point of the story. Even if the particular story were to achieve perfect neutrality on a story (which will never happen), there is in inherent bias in the selection of stories that garner coverage that creates an uneven coverage of news.

Yep, when I teach the Psychology of Persuasion, we analyze news stories in this way. Lots of fun, and quite revealing!

Story selection/discrimination is one of the biggest propaganda tools they use to be untruthful. They diminish and dismiss critical left stories and hyperfocus on critical right stories. Lately they've been leaning ever more heavily on reporting unverified and unsubstantiated allegations as "news". Literally if two "unnamed officials" whisper the same thing, they run it without verifying the actual information is valid. Do that a time of two and it's shoddy reporting. Do it perpetually and it's untruthful propaganda.

My issue isn't that it's political in nature. My issue is that it's gone beyond that, to the point it's actually harming the United States, both domestic and international. The media has lost its collective mind in the pursuit of deposing a lawfully elected president. I have a major problem with that.

Actually, I'm not even sure that they are basing their stories on "two unnamed officials." Time was, journalists were to get at least one "named" source besides the original "named" source before they would even consider releasing the news story based on them. Now, I think they will go with a single unnamed source and not even think about it, especially if it casts a shadow on the subject (think person or policy) that they are against. Watergate and "Deep Throat" was probably the end of really verifiable news sources.

I remember years ago that a family member would swear by the National Enquirer, saying that they couldn't print that stuff if it wasn't true. I tried to explain to them that the Enquirer would quote "our sources say" in the story, leading to the idea that they had multiple sources. It wasn't until the Enquirer published a story that was very critical of that person's "occupation" that they came to know that the story was totally false.

I heard an awesome analogy the other day about Trump. Trump is is stringing the media along kind of like playing with a laser pointer with a cat. He has them going in every direction and running into walls and they never catch him. The media better get a grip or most will have a breakdown!

The altered wrestling video shows Trump punching a man with the CNN logo superimposed on his head.
President Donald Trump is continuing his feud against the media. On Sunday morning, he tweeted a video showing him punching a man with the CNN logo superimposed on his head during a WWE wrestling match.

The video follows Trump's series of tweets Saturday where he renewed his resentment against what he called the "fake and fraudulent" media. He defended his amount of tweeting as "modern day presidential" and called out CNN saying, "I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!"

The original video footage is from WrestleMania 23 in 2007 when Trump went up against WWE CEO Vince McMahon during a "Battle of the Billionaires" match. Both Trump and McMahon chose wrestlers to represent them in the ring.

CNN has responded with the following statement:

"It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his."

Let's see.....you would prefer I follow and espouse the fake news of CNN or MSNBC?
That would be acceptable? As a matter of fact, I do try and find links from liberal news outlets whenever possible. For one reason, it's to eliminate comments like yours^^^^^.
Other times you just have to go right to the source.

I'm wondering if some in the media are intentionally antagonizing Trump trying to cause some "less than Presidential" reactions from him.
