I don't wear a watch all that often but I was going to do some running around yesterday morning and thought I'd strap one on for the heck of it and I noticed that the one I was going to put on wasn't running then glanced at the other and it was....both are Citizens.

Dug around and found the receipt where I had the batteries changed in both of them the same day back on Jan. 13, 2023 so I just went ahead and changed both batteries out again even tho one was still running at the same place I had it done before.....CNS Jewelry inside Sooner mall in Norman.

I don't know what the going rate is but CNS just charges $10.00 per battery to change them and I was in and out in about 15 minutes.....friendly sales people and they've also got a pretty good selection of Seiko and Citizen watches to look over.

I haven’t been to the one in Sooner mall but I’ve been to the other two locations, Quail and Penn malls. Unfortunately, the one in quail has been closed for a while. They have a decent selection of straps and Casio G-shocks too.

I change batteries annually in watches which use them to hopefully prevent leakage killing the watch pretty much forever.

Batteries Plus️ does watch batteries, as do most independent jewelry stores.
$10 is typical, except for Fossil watches.
Many places charge more or refuse to touch a Fossil.

I like a Better Time Watch shop on Western and I-240. Price is usually $10. They also put your watch on a time grapher to make sure it's working properly. Had two that had issues, they said they may fail. Sure enough one did. Keep your batteries up to date, quartz movements can die due to unuse.

C.J.'s Jewelers 8200 S. Western. All batteries $5 including lithium and Fossil. Also a great inventory of Seiko watches. If you want to see some nicer ones, you have to ask politely. Quartz watches do like to stay running. If stopped too long, some of the oils can dry out and require servicing. However, there is no need to change the battery before it is dead.
