That CME was caused by a 10m wide comet. Imagine what ISON(5km) would do...
OK, I'm talking out my butt now, but that's hard to take. A piece of dirty ice 30 ft wide crashes into the Sun and makes a CME of large proportions? It strikes me that such a missle would never even make it close to the surface of the Sun.
