Has anyone heard if they have actually attempted a forcible disarming yet? I think many people at first will fold but once one person fights back and the rest of them hear about it, they'll have a domino effect and the state will get to experience first hand that saying "opening a whole can of worms".

We all say we know what WE would do but when there's a half dozen armed troopers at your door with the legal backing to gun you down if need be, how many people are actually going to say "it ends here, I will gun down these troopers before I let them take my guns!" and then actually do it, leaving their family fatherless? That citizen may get all the troopers right then but we all know what happens afterwards. That one step is a huge step and for that first person to take it is going to be far harder than most of us think. Most folks are honest and it isn't in their nature to actually pull a trigger and shoot a fellow citizen, I'm not saying they aren't justified by their 2A rights, I'm just saying it'll far, far, far more difficult that people think it will be.

That said, it will likely be a domino effect in one direction or the other. That first person or two that resist and pay the price will either create a huge movement to continue resisting or to give in. So think about it, really put yourself in the footsteps of someone in Connecticut, a father with a family, who's doorbell rings and it's time to actually draw arms on law enforcement or begrudgingly surrender your arms. What would you do?

I agree it would be a very tough decision for a family man especially. But even if 1% of those gun owners in CT that refused to register decided to fight, the bloodshed would be significant. I have seen estimates of anywhere from 100,000-300,000 citizens in CT that refused to comply. Don't you think 1,000-3,000 shoot outs would be enough of a deterrent to LE enforcing unconstitutional law?

Best option for those in CT that don't want to comply is to move to an arms friendly state. Avoid the bloodshed and drama. Let the parasites have CT where in time they'll eat themselves.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but there won't be any bloodshed. When the swat team is lined up at the door, they will open it and hopefully, they have hidden the "unlawful" guns where they can't be found.

I'll bet there is a lot of PVC pipe being sold in that state.
