In case you haven't seen this.

I HATE the CARB compliant gas cans. So....

Two part solution:

The problem that I have with these is the vent. It is a pain in the a$$ to install.

Better option:

Simple solution. Tire Air Stems, Stem Tool, .5" drill bit (plus a smaller one for a pilot hole), hanger and wire.

Total conversion time. About 2-3 minutes per can.

Some folks day, just use an ice pick and poke a hole in the container and put a piece of tape over the hole to close or a screw in it to close. It would be my luck that the tape would come off or the screw would rattle loose and/or leak and my shed would explode.

I gotta show this to GC ... He HATES those danged things too ... I just hide in the house until he's done with pouring the gas out of them. It's just better that way ... :lookaroun

Holy hell I can sympathize. It sucks tettering on a ladder trying to fill the tank on our contruction trailer with one of those stupid things....I'm converting our work jugs next week, and the ones at the house this weekend!

Great link.
