Crawfish?

Confession... never had crawfish before despite enjoying seafood. My birthday's coming up, and I'm thinking about going to a crawfish joint for it! Any good places in the OKC area?

If there's a Fish Daddy's in OKC, get the combo meal with crawfish. Hint, it isn't on the menu but they'll do fried crawfish if you ask.

Great question ... I spend a lot of time in Texas and Arizona and always find Pappadeux's great. Love their crawfish etouffee and sausage seafood gumbo after (at least a dozen oysters). I too would like to hear if there are any good crawfish places to go in OKC.

The Atlantic Salmon Alexander at Pappadeaux is damn good...I have that probably once a month!

There is a cajun buffet in OKC that might serve crawfish. I've seen the TV commercial and had some friends eat there. Said it was was really good. Cajun King. Good reviews and you might call ahead to see if they are serving what you want.

The Shack, just west of Broadway Ext on south side of nw 63rd. We love it! Fresh (well as fresh as OKC can get) Shrimp, oysters, crawfish, etc... it had a fire and they opened a second on Memorial (year or 2 ago) BUT original has been reopened WHICH IS ONE TO GO TO! Also Pearls, been around forever as well. More upscale for an occasion. Was on 63rd until Chesapeake bought their building. Now on Classen by Belle Isle.

In Houston the Popeyes had a basket of fried crawfish. Try that first, fried crawfish then go from there..to gumbo,etouffee, po-boy, etc.
