I think it goes beyond the "fighting" to create. I think the upbringing that some did with their children led to poor results. I'm of the generation that was raised by those of WWII, the Depression, and the Dust Bowl. While many of those of the "Greatest Generation" did well with raising their kids, not all of them did. Those kids went on to become hippies, do drugs, experience free love, and then many went on to become professors in college and try to indoctrinate the later generations.

My only point is that the world as it is today and the country the US has become is not what those heroes were fighting to protect. I see this as one separate, clear statement. I'm not trying to debate how we got where we are. But appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Terry, I went to church years ago with a fellow and his wife. He was one of the greatest guys I've ever met, he and his wife took care of kids in the nursery, they were older folks. This couple was a great example of what Christians should be, IMHO.

They had two children, very close in age.

One was a good Christian, devoted mother, faithful wife.

Parents have a responsibility to be examples, and provide safety and instruction. The idea that a bad kid, or a kid with opposing ideals is somehow a reflection of the parents is very often wrong.

I agree with this as you look at an individual family. Bad kid doesn't necessarily mean bad parent-- sometimes it happens in spite of everything. Different when you start looking at a macro level.

My grandpa fought in the war in Japan but didn’t die thankfully. He died in 1992. Picture Biden didn’t even mention D day. Really is a disgrace. I can’t imagine the courage those men had. Most knew they were more than likely going to die. But yet they did it again. Those were real men. Not like most of the wimps today.

I guess I either don't understand your point, or just disagree with you. My grandfather, who died years ago fought in World War I, and my father and my uncle served in WWII. I'm sure if they saw the state of this country today they would strongly disagree with most of what is going on in this country today. Much as I do, they would think that many people are completely irresponsible, disrespectful, and unpatriotic.

The soldiers themselves are of no more blame than I or my generation who spent years fighting worthless wars in the Middle East, or my father who fought an equally pointless war in Vietnam. Men who are willing to fight for something are to be honored.

However, the men at D-day are directly responsible for the death of traditional European culture as it existed there and in the wider European diaspora.

They took up arms and killed their cousins, cousins who were fighting for the same thing any of us would fight for today-blood and soil, self determination, and national autonomy.
Say what you will about National Socialism or fascism at least those governments stood against the degeneracy we see today. Hell look at the books the nazis burned! According to GLAD (iirc) they cite the nazis specifically setting back the transgender movement by 70 years.

Yet here we are.
So here’s my mental math:
American soldiers killed white tradition shoulder to shoulder with literal ppsh-41 carrying communists. American soldiers SAVED THE SOVIET UNION FROM ANNIHILATION.
Communism and it’s progenitors are the reason our western world is disgusting and degenerate.
This, American soldiers killed their cousins so that Uncle Joe Stalin and his comrades could infect the west with their ideology.

Sad but true. I used to be a patriot. Spent three years in Iraq leading grunts. Now I’m scared of what my own government wants for my children.

Well, sure - we were allies with the USSR, and gave them eastern Europe, and yes, there were communists in Hollywood that produced pro-war films in the thirties for FDR, and yes...there were known communists in FDR's administration, but that doesn't mean my uncles went to war on a false pretense.
