I could write my father a letter and talk about what I could have done, what I should have done and what I did, but my God would it be as long as War and Peace.
So I'll just simply say, "thank you dad. I love you, I miss you and you were right, about everything. As a father (and grandfather myself now) I see what you were saying. Thank you for being my father and the wisdom you instilled in me, even if it didn't take back then."

My brothers and I shot a limit of ducks the morning of my dad’s memorial service. Then we drank whiskey and ate chicken wings. I’ll get 2/3 of that accomplished tonight. I wish my kids couldve known him.

They taught us so much
I'm not a father, but I want to thank all of the good men out there who have taken the initiative to try to teach and lead the next generation. This goes not just for fathers but for stepfathers, uncles and father figures out there as well. It's a thankless job.
