Yeah - that'll work.

Look up hyperinflation.

I spent a short time in Argentina in 1979 when that nation was in the throes of hyperinflation. It wasn't pretty.

Look up post WWI Germany re: hyperinflation.

I fear though that the morons in Washington most of whom can't even spell economics let alone grasp the concepts with in it or for that matter even spell it don't already believe that all they have to do to solve the US debt problem is to just print more money.

Yes, Virginia, We do live in interesting times. Best get prepared for more to come.

Well said.....

I was against going into Iraq...but if you want to play that card, let me remind you that entitlements cost much more than the wars...10yrs of Iraq was about 1yr of medicaid/medicare alone; if you count welfare and all other entitlements the cost of war is nominal (and I remind you again I am not for wars generally). This is where your money is really going (but of course I am against wasteful spending of all kinds including military spending):

Congressmen have been feathering their own nest for along time. Nothing will change that much, everyone is in it for whatever they can get out of it. No budget in 4 years? The nations debt will continue to climb and if the interest on that changes by 1 or 2 % we're sunk.
