I have briefly in an email, but his answers don't jive with the new regulations. I'm not sure ODWC knows what they are doing. I'm told that the number of bucks taken doesn't matter, it's the doe count that does. That increasing the take on public lands would hurt the herd count, but the 93 percent taken on private land won't even by extending the season another week. Then he said the season would only be 9 days, but the current regs state closed the last seven, which extends deer season on public land another week. I'm not sure they know what they are doing.
