Holy crap! That's a lot of water. Hope your cameras are high enough!

Yeah, I’m hoping my cameras are high enough, but I’ve heard the river hasn’t crested yet. It’s not looking good.

Dang, hopefully he'll be back.
After my miss, he and 4 doe only ran about 150 yds into the field, looked around for a minute and then went back to eating. They were still in the field almost an hour after my miss...just several hundred yards away. So he will be back, or maybe I’ll catch him at another stand.

Undeg, any idea if that deer has been on your property in years past and you’ve been able to watch him grow?

Yep. He is the twin of one on my wall from last year. They haven’t changed much over the years. Always 5 on their right side and 4 on their left. He is just taller and wider from last year, with a little more mass.

Damn! If I was closer, I'd offer to drop my boat in and move your cameras. Hate it for you.

Man, I appreciate the sentiment, but I’m afraid at this flood stage getting in even by boat would be a dangerous proposition. As far as losing a camera or two or eight, it is what it is, and the price I’ll have to pay to play the game.
The first info I got was local heresay. I just looked on the National Weather Service “advanced hydrologic prediction” website, and it appears from the current data that the river may have crested on Hwy 11 just south of my place. I’m hoping that’s right.:anyone:
