Is there anyone near Piedmont with a deer dog? My 12 year old put the smack on a big buck but we can’t find it. He kicked like a mule, went down, jumped up, then jumped a fence. Figured he’d be right there but he is not.

I was out of pocket helping on a youth hunt or would have offered. I have also seen your followup post and hope you guys get another chance at him later this season!

Let me know if you need a cape. Hopefully by the end of the season, me and the kids will be able to take one or more of the mature bucks on cam that won't be mount worthy. All three will weigh over 200lbs easy.
