I'm more concerned with American citizens who willingly take employment in a position where they might be asked to violate the rights of other Americans. As fellow Americans, we should be looking out for each other's rights. It's all about personal responsibility.

This argument works for any type of law enforcement (think TSA), in my opinion. Americans should draw the line at violating the rights of other Americans.

Instead of looking at it that way, you might consider it a good thing if some of us take the job knowing we might be asked to violate someone's rights, and we're the type that will say "No, we won't be doing that today"... :anyone:
