Watching my Airedale Gus play with an armadillo is a hoot. Last year while setting up my deerstand a few days before muzzle loader season he found the fattest pig of an armadillo I have ever seen. He had it buzzing and leaping in the air and chased it around in circles for an hour of pure delight for Gus. It finally ran under a dozer pile and Gus looked so sad that his playmate went home.

When I was a kid of 8 of 9 years old, I was told to brush hog a pasture down. Older brother went with me to hook up the Brushhog. He was lazy and not much help as always, I got it all hooked up. His lazy ass was standing out back. When I started the tractor an Armadillo shot under the Brushhog. I kicked in the PTO and literally covered my lazy ass older brother with guts/blood! He ran home and momma caught him before he ran in the house and made him go wash off with the hose first! It was a cold fall Day!
