Some parts of the state they are the only option available.
The little satelite is better than nothing.
They both fade in and out in heavy rain.
Pick the one that offers you the best deal.

You know...I've been really thinking about that recently.

I bought a new Blue Ray DVD player that is internet capable this month. Now I can watch Netflix instant play on my TV in the living room instead of just on my computer.

For the past three weeks, I haven't watched anything on satellite. It's all been through Netflix. Netflix is a lot cheaper. Now if only I could get the military channel through Netflix I'd be all set.

On Dish, I have a few hundred channels that I never watch. But, they are in HD :) I just don't watch them, so it's irrelevant.

Type in "military channel" on the search feature on your Blue Ray / Netflix..
There is quite a bit of Military Channel stuff!

How about none of the above.
Anything we are interested in can be seen OTA, or rented, or watched online.

Been without for 8 years.

$50/ month * 8 years = $4,800

That can buy quite a few toys.

Hulu, Netflix are all I need.
Plus it's nice to just do something instead of watch TV. So much time is wasted on TV shows that have no impact on your life. I'm so glad to be rid of that. We generally just watch a show before bed or something.

Nicole here and I say DISH Network all the way! Not only do they still offer HD programming free for life but they're the only ones to provide live TV programming on your mobile device from any geographical location. I've been on hunting trips and I was able to watch all my programming on my Smartphone as though I were at home. As an employee I know that this is just one example of how DISH is better than cable.

Had Direct TV installed 4 months ago, no problems, even with the blizzard.
Has more channels than I can watch so the HD recorder comes in handy.
The first year is $35 a month for a LOT of stuff.
