Has anyone tried one in an AR?

I just ordered one to put in my new (to me) ugly AR.

I'm hoping it will be close to the LaRue MBT for about $30 less.

If it does, I'd be surprised. My MBT is amazing. I just bought an AR-10 today with a Rock River two stage and I'll be replacing it with an MBT soon

I run the MBT in my other rifles but I've been curious about the Dirty Bird so I'll give a try and compare it to the MBT.

They're cast and forged it looks like. Sear engagement is probably hardened and ground. Looks a lot like an MBT. If you aren't wearing it down, it might do pretty well. Keep an eye on the engagement surfaces that they don't burr up.
