Does anyone here make paracord slings and have suggestions on which weaves are better for someone's first try, or are they all about the same skill level? I have always wanted one for one of my rifles and will be having some down time and figured I might give it a whirl.

A friend of mine showed me how to make a braided sling like he had in his CAR16 in Vietnam. My favorite and most versatile sling plus it gives you a bunch of spare 550 cord on you if you need a piece.

I just saw this, so you probably don’t need it now. Here’s the one I learned on.

Those green knots look like crap.

Why don't they interweave the two cobra strips to keep them from overlapping like the guy showed it would if your over cobra weave was too tight? I can see those inner weaves still overlapping each other without being woven together or stitched together somehow.
