Dove Shooting Season Is Coming Up! Which Gun you use!

I'm looking for a new Dove gun and was just wandering what types of shotguns and loads everyones using .

I now have an old winchester with no vent rib on top so looking for advice below $1000.00 please.

I use the old trusty 1100 remington and the wife use her 11-87 and we have no problem.

I don't shoot anything I don't eat and Dove is not a favorite dish so...

A small group of friends and I have an annual dove hunt followed by a "Doveball BBQ". The hunt has special rules. Nothing larger than 2 1/2" .410 bore shells, any gun. They mostly use pumps but I use a side x side. Lot's of fun and it really makes you concentrate on your shooting. It's a very good warm up for bird season.

Doveballs - marinate dove breasts in a favorite spicy marinade. Take each side of the breast and stuff with jalapeno. Wrap in bacon and grill. Don't overcook.

I use a camo NEF Excel Auto 5, they can be had for ~$450 or less. I was impressed with how nice it is for the money, I suggest checking them out.
