Well, you wanted her....:wink2:
The DREAM ACT is going to die in the Senate. However, just FYI, it is not the blanket amnesty you might think. The military is even in favor of it.

Not exactly. We just acknowledged her as the least awful choice in a field utterly devoid of decent choices. I can't remember the last time I voted for someone and didn't hold my nose except for Coburn. Even he's not perfect, just far better than average. :(

Actually JB, I wanted Randy Brogdon. And I'm pretty much against any type of amnesty.

I know I am in the minority on this board about the immigration issue. Heck, I can understand the antipathy to a general amnesty. I don't understand why there would be resistance to mainstreaming the children of illegal aliens who were brought here when they were very young. Particularly, if they are willing to serve a term in the military and/or complete school.

All the Dream Act does is give the children of illegals who (the children) were brought into the USA prior to age 16 and who are now 35 or older and who have completed and earned a HS degree and served two years in the military or 2 in college the opportunity to become citizens.

Y'all know I'd kick every single illegal out of the country personally given the opportunity but their kids had no choice in the matter.

The Dream act fixes that.

I don't really see it as all that bad of a thing.

<Shut up JB - every now and then we agree>

You might want to re-read the Dream Act. :teach:

No S%^t Sherlock, these people even Doctor's and Lawyer's do not understand or give a crap what is being done, we are HANDING them our country, piece by ever smaller piece on a silver platter with a bell in case its not good enough they can call us back to fix it.

When they fly Mexican flags over state capitals and School's Nationwide yet the American flag is "Offensive" I find absolutely no remorse in my heart for the "poor illegals". Most of the ones I have met make $60K a year plus by being on food stamps, Government Housing Aid, Utility Assistance, then they have a job under the table that pays them $10 an hour.

I dont know about you but if they dont have the proper BIRTH CERTIFICATE like I do, not a walk across the border and drop some afterbirth Certificate then I say GTFO and Good Riddance.
