I know someone who went through college, back in the day, selling stumpwater to the professors, and students. The students would come by the dorm room and get their Tennis Ball can filled for $7.00. Some Professors got theirs for free if they gave you an A!!!!! It was delivered to the "A" Professors in a gym bag and placed by their desk. The empty gym bag would be retreived the next class.

I would give a home brew a taste, but don't know anyone. Besides I don't need anything more explosive than 100 proof anyway. I generally have a rule that if if can be lit on fire I don't drink it, but I see the commercials for the stuff so much I wanted to try it to try it.

OOh and who ever said city slickers above..... under their name says Tulsa :wink2:

I've had the real deal from a few sources. I much prefer the dumbed down legal tasty stuff. No need to prove anything IMO. I'm good just enjoying somethin to sip on that does the trick.

Just picked up the backwoods strawberry. It's definitely a little more harsh with more of a hint of strawberry (80 proof). Not too bad though.

E: I am city folk...I've lived in BFE 30 miles from anything and that just ain't my style. If I was to live in the "country" 10-15 minutes from anything I want.

25 years ago, I was living in NE Okla.,knew a guy 'Danny' that used to run the real stuff out of Pineville Ark. It sold for $12.00 a gallon, glass jug with the finger hole. That stuff was clear, smooth going down and had a kick when it hit home. Pleasant smell of sorgum molasses. Divided it up in pint mason jars and gave them as Christmas present one year. Good times.
