The price that they are at now, has caused a shortage at my house, whether there is a shortage or not.
I used to eat Eggs daily, sometimes twice a day, when they were under $2.00/dozen.
I have had hens before in the past, and decided that cost of feed was about a break even for farm raised vs store eggs. So I quit that. Plus every time I wanted to go somewhere for extended periods, I would have to find a caretaker for them.
I eat 4 eggs a day, raw, 24 grams of protein right there. And I'll eat em no matter if they hit $12 a dozen.

Do you blend them up and drink or how do you eat your eggs raw? I've always been wanting to try it.
Don't whip or blend. There are 9 different proteins in an egg and cooking them kills 4 or 5, whipping them kills 3 I think it is.
3 or 4 eggs in a glass, I add several shakes of Tabasco, salt and pepper and use a fork to gently break up the yokes and just mix it slow. Tastes great and is a healthy no carb breakfast done in 3 min. if your slow.
That's 24 grams of protein if 4 eggs and I shoot for 80 to 100 a day. An 8 oz steak later and I'm at 80 right there. 16 oz steak and im at around 135 grams

Awesome, much appreciated. I will give it a try tomorrow morning.

I assume just regular store bought eggs?

I'd like to avoid getting sick lol

Salmanila exists on the outside shell. Wash them if you want using just hot water but it's not necessary with store bought eggs. It's a must with farm eggs. Iv been eating them like this for 40 years and I only wash the farm eggs I get occasionally. I prefer the cage free eggs myself but they cost a buck more.

I will give it a try. Would sure be a nice way to get my protein in the morning instead of choking down a shake or having to cook the eggs first.

Thanks for taking the time to reply!
