That's the easy answer.Eh, i still believe private business can set their own standards, both for who they choose to serve and who they choose to employ. It's an easy enough decision to navigate. Just as people are free to shop where they want, people are free to choose who they're employed by.
It's that old choice each individuals principals and character wrestle with. Each must choose between what is right and what is easy.
It's a legitimate argument that employers should not require it as a basis of employment.
I think the 98% stat is survivable, not recoverable. Recoverable is different from perfectly healthy as before the illness. There was a member post on here about a previously healthy 40yo person who recovered from covid, but now has kidney failure & may need dialysis or a transplant. Lots of people “recover” but have to wear oxygen at home. That’s why the hype.
