Always store your paperwork in a safe place and only carry copies.
Why you ask?
I was digging thru my NFA file the other day because
I wanted to shoot a thompson and a can I bought
back in the 80's
Now these papers are 25+ years old and I found they were starting to deteriorate.
So I made extra copies of all my paperwork and put them in another
file.
So handling your paperwork constantly would cause it to deteriorate faster than mine sitting in a file cabinet.
As far as asking to see your paperwork. If I owned a range I would definately ask to see it. For every legit piece out there, theres probably 10 illegit.
And as a store owner I wouldn't want the word going around that illegal things were going on in my store.
When I was a class 3 dealer I had my share of ATF visits cause somebody
turned in a tip that I was selling mg's and suppressors.
Finally found out after several visits, it was another dealer across town causing trouble. Whats interesting is he ended up going to jail for illegal class 3 sales.
That's why I don't shoot at H&H... They are quickly getting the old Outdoor America reputation. Thank goodness for the new indoor range in Edmond! Very nice facility and a great staff that is EBR & NFA friendly!
101
H&H is NFA friendly, the whole episode was simply a "misunderstanding". It was all resolved.
