I live in the area that was burned, alot of houses burned, i know of about 8 were mobiles or dbl wides that were lookin a little rough. Dunno if they were insured or not.

My thoughts are no insurance, too bad, im sorry but gov aint responcible. Use land as collatoral and rebuild and buy insurance or go rent.

I think mobile homes should be banned anyway, we live in Tornado alley.

I feel sorry for those who have lost homes as well, but do not believe they deserve anything other than consolation. Its a harsh, but simple truth. You either choose to assume your own risk, or pay to have somebody else assume that risk for you. The choice is yours.

A nicer way of saying what I was thinking than CHenry, but I'll accept either as the correct answer on this test.

I didn't say we owe these people anything. I was simply saying that if you have ZERO income and are already in the mode of just trying to feed your family it could be that they had to drop their insurance in order to survive.

I guess the thing that blew me away was that the percentage was 85%. If you don't own you home, don't you HAVE to pay for insurance in the form of an escrow account. Does 85% of the population own their homes? Any by own, I mean own, not you and the bank own it. Was this area all fully paid off $2-5K trailors? Something just seems wrong about the percentage to me.

Any comments about this new set of questions?

Please.... 99.9% chance they dropped their insurance to support a drug or gambling problem.
