We have had everything insured thru State Farm for over 40 years. Cars, home, everything. Mine started out at 720 a year when our home was built in the year 2000 and had reached 1700 a year this year. The only way I got it reduced was to lower my coverage and then raise my deductable. I have had one claim and that was hail damage which pretty well wasn't my fault.

CHenry, i would be shocked if you weren't paying double what you stated for your home owners insurance. Again like someone in a prior post on this thread mentioned being responsible with their money, part of that responsibility is knowing where it is going.

We found out we were way underinsured, we pay a little over 2g thru farmers. Just recently upped my coverage for firearms, that added about 80 a year.

The firearms and jewelry cost us extra also. I once ask what they would pay on my guns if we had a fire and was told 1500 dollars. They really weren't interested in how many I had, didn't matter, 1500 was the max.

CHenry, your statement (I know for a fact people who frequent the casinoes are less than resposible with their money and priorities with money) is probably true most of the time but once again we have to leave a little room for wiggle. The guy setting in the next booth over from me here at work goes to casinoes every weekend, and Vegas 4 times a year. He also pays all his nieces cost of attending OSU and pays his sisters Medical insurance. The guy is single, makse good money, frequents casinoes but still has his priorities. BTW..I never go myself......Not my game to loose my money....

Okay if its double, which it is not, its costing me $6.00 a day. Less than my lunch. I saw the last insurance payment in Nov. 2011 and just because I cant remember what it was doesn't make me irresponsible with my money. I have a touch of CRS syndrom though. I do know where my money is going and I am one of the few people who will be 100% debt free before I turn 50 with a lot to show for it. So dont talk to me about financial responsibility.

Yes, I should not paint with such a broad stroke, your right. But I know no one who is like your example. They are out there but there is a reason the indians are getting fat like hogs from them gamblers.

So what happened to your humility, you sure seem to know a lot about people you don't even know, years ago you were civil and nice when you were asking about birds.
