5 is a good start but not a very good sample group imo. When I'm working up a new load i usually have, for pistol 25-50 for rifle 10-20, loaded rounds of a known good load and then several more sets of slightly higher or lower powder charges depending on what I'm trying to achieve. But if your nervous about reloading and don't want to risk the possible waste of components it's enough to find out if your going to blow your hand off or not.I thought I posted this but does have a chronograph they could bring? Or do I need more than 5 loaded bullets to test?
Yea. I loaded all of these myself (with help but still) I'll make it clear so everyone can move away haha5 is a good start but not a very good sample group imo. Adjusting the gas pressure on the '49 is not dangerous in any way. The metal butt plate just doesn't make it a light kicking gun.I do believe this is a hold my beer and watch this moment in the making.
Lol been there done that with heavy ball ammo in a "short" barrel M38 Mosin nagantAdjusting the gas pressure on the '49 is not dangerous in any way. The metal butt plate just doesn't make it a light kicking gun.
It's probably not that bad. The '49 is gas-operated and does weigh nine pounds or so. A bit more recoil than a M1 Garand say, but not really abusive.Lol been there done that with heavy ball ammo in a "short" barrel M38 Mosin nagant
I'm not scared! !It's probably not that bad. The '49 is gas-operated and does weigh nine pounds or so. A bit more recoil than a M1 Garand say, but not really abusive.
