Fav Nephew joining Navy

My nephew is joining the Navy. Either as an Airdale, MAA or Corpsman on the Blueside.

I guess he believed my Sea Stories. It'd be too cool if he could get assigned to my old ship.

San Diego is IMO the best place to get stationed, if he's lucky enough to choose.

That is great. I did some collateral duty as a Master At Arms but most of my training was as a snipe that glowed in the dark.

I was stationed at Naval Air Station North Island on Coronado. The Mrs was a Marine stationed at MCRD. We promised each other never I would never call her a Jarhead and she would never call me a squid.
