Sadly, I got into this a little too late... That's a bummer.

As far as I'm concerned, homosexuality definitely isn't my thing, but I can't fault anyone else for making a personal choice. I like Dr. Pepper; some people completely despise Dr. Pepper. That doesn't mean that we should let it affect our joint ability to get the job done. Is the guy that hates DP thinking to himself, "Man, I sure would respect this guy's work ethic a lot more if he didn't drink that filth."

Sure, that's a gross oversimplification, but if someone wants to serve beside me and risk his/her life for the same cause that I am, then that person is my brother or sister regardless.

On the question of enforcement... The Obama Administration has completely dropped the ball on this one (imagine that!). Yes, Obama supports the gay agenda, but not to the degree that he swore he would when the votes mattered for him. With midterm elections swinging so heavily for Republicans right now, any concerted Congressional Democratic or executive effort to actually enforce the rulings (or Congress hold Obama accountable) would be the equivalent to political suicide.

I guess you'd consider that a win-win for Republicans. The Democrats tried to play both sides of the game and now they're facing a lose-lose situation. Let's stand by and see which group of voters they can alienate the most!
