Mohawk brown. Rear tube. Wasn't logged yet. Sooo wanted to take it to the gun club tomorrow. Found out oil is not good for them. Makes sense, though.

post a picture .. does the brown have a greenish tinge?

Forgot about this post. I was going to shoot it Sunday, but did the OCU law club shoot. I will shoot it this week. DS, I do no need yours. I have a beater now. I did not even know you had one. I'm sure you haven't seen yours in awhile. The same goes for your 22!

oh yes, man i love these rifles. my grandpa gave me his when i was a youngster. it was really about the first of my collection, my buddies gave me a hard time in high school for taking a "plastic" gun when we'd hit the range. none of us new much about them at the time; ill have mine forever. i sure miss my grandpa but that rifle represents more great memories than any dollar amount could afford. congrats on your find.

I picked up an old beater in trade a while back. The top forearm was cracked and missing a piece so I "fixed" that with the dremel tool. The finis was crap, so I disassembled and painted the receiver and barrel after I threaded the barrel. Might cut it off at 16.5" and thread it again.
