Most of my .22 shooting is done from the bench. Occasionally I get to do a little "small" game hunting while I'm at the range. The remains of a fly that foolishly landed on my target, from the bench, at 50 yards, with my Anschutz 1422 (pictured in post #317 in this thread).

Here's my 617 with Hogue JM grips and a C-More Railway direct mounted to a BMT Kickstand 90 degree mount. At some point it may get an Apex mass driver hammer to help get the trigger weight down a little further. I'm hoping to get her out to the range this weekend and get the red dot sighted in.

Man I have one of those old Marlins as well. But mine isnt stainless and has a wood stock and I bought it probably around 1985. I been thinking about getting it threaded.

I had a guy in Duncan, OK thread my Marlin 795. Let me know if you want his information. He did a fantastic job, and only charged me $75. My trigger guard was plastic, and I cracked the rear screw hole disassembling it one time during cleaning, so I replaced it with that 6061 billet aluminum trigger guard + trigger assembly, and it came with a flat-faced trigger that has a slightly lighter pull weight. It took some getting used to, but I like it. It was well worth the $65 I spent on the upgrade. Check it out here....I highly recommend it: https://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=156302&CAT=3603
