Just went through all 36 pages. You fellas have some nice .22s!

This rack is trying to represent Marlins claim at the longest (nearly - but for a WW) uninterrupted production run. Probably debatable, but such as it is I got it in my head to get a representation of steps along their path.

In 1891 they came out with the first lever action .22. The first 5,000 Model 1891s were “Sideloaders”, after which they switched to Tube Fed. Then came the 1892, the 1897, the Model 39 and then the 39a we are all familiar with. Those ended with Remington’s near-destruction of the brand. Ruger may well revive the 39a, or so many hope.

Changes along the way were minor tweaks such that they considered the rifle basically a continuous production run.

I lack only the 1891 “Sideloader”. Those are hard to find! Found one at auction last minth but bidding went beyond my pocketbook.
