I passed this buck in early October and got a second chance at him this morning. He had matching split brows but broke off the right ones.

Yes, this was at my Oklahoma place, and yes, I did take the “selfie”

Ironically, I’ve never met Make it Happen in person yet but text back and forth with him several times a day. He’s actually not much older than my oldest son.🤣

Here's the one I shot today. I wasn't going to post it, didn't want to show up and embarrass retriever man. Sometimes he so sensitive. Shot this and a doe about 10 seconds later.

Took me most of an hour I think to catch up on this thread. Some great deer killed and even better stories told! Our deer season has been fairly mundane this year, not a lot of movement the first week.

My son did break his dry spell on bucks with this 8 point the day after Thanksgiving. We had a couple bucks and does running around to the east/southeast of where we were sitting. Then this one comes running towards us, and it took 3 tries to get him stopped for a shot. 2 "grunts" and a "Hey!" gave my boy a shot opportunity of around 100 yards. The 6.5x55 didn't disappoint, as usual. Deer ran less than 50 yards in full view before piling up.

My daughter and wife plan to hunt some more this weekend as schedules allow, so might have more to post later...
