I checked for news stories a week and two weeks afterward. Nothing.
I used to read the Sunday paper (before it got all anorexic at the same time the price went up).
There would be local stories in there that some friends and co-workers - who followed the local TV stations morning and night - said "I didn't see anything about that on Channel __."
Some articles were kind of racy. Surprised me the TV channels didn't pick up and report them.

Once upon a half-century ago [now, you KNOW there's gonna be a problem when I start out that way!] I was selected in some magic manner (chanting, scattering chicken bones, something) for jury duty in a murder case. The prosecutor sought the death penalty, so I explained multiple times that I was not qualified to serve. I was honestly not simply trying to shirk civic duty, and offered to substitute service on multiple civil trial juries, or huge numbers of hours of community service. I even offered to assist the clerk's office in the courthouse basement with a large filing project. But I stated - as clearly and definitively as I could - that I am not smart enough or educated enough or wise enough to make that kind of a decision (even in a group of jurors) regarding another person's life! My argument fell on deaf ears. OK, a$$holes...

During the final selection process, the assistant DA asked if I had "any preconceived ideas" about the case. I looked puzzled and asked what he meant. He restated, "Are you already convinced about his guilt or innocence?" I did my best impression of a "well duh!" moment, and said "Of course, he's guilty. He's black, ain't he?" I was physically escorted out of the building! And I have never been selected to another jury in all that time. They shoulda listened up front! [Coincidentally, I think the DA's name was Black! ]

I was called for Jury duty but was kicked out of the process. I know the OSCN website can be searched but for the life of me, I cannot remember the case number or the defendant's name.

Is there any chronological list I can look at?
If it is a city case, go to okc.gov. should have a list of court cases (dockets). If it is a county or state case go to OK.gov. both sites are hard to search, good luck and happy hunting.

If you know the judges name, go to "Court Records", and search the judges name to get the docket.
The docket I can get on the search only gives one page and starts a few years ago and there is no option for another page of records.

OK folks, Here is what I remember.

I'm sorry I cannot remember if the defendant,

a black male,
was 13 or 15 when the murder was committed.
I think it was a 2015 case for OKCPD.
Judge Cindy Truong, Oklahoma District Court,
The jury was picked March 28, 2022.

The victim's name escapes me as it wasn't really mentioned that many times and was only given during the reading of the charges. No defendant's name, no case number.

I have tried about every combination of this data at various websites and all I get back is garbage from the search parameters.

Yeppers.
Here he is.

THANKS!!!

The big drama was several people couldn't bring themselves to say they could vote for life without parole for a 19 year old man who was 13 when he murdered the 82 year old woman.

Scumbag got life with parole.

None of us knew about the charge of a second murder with arson to cover up the crime. All done while this kid was 13.
I hope the second jury is informed of his "Previous bad Acts" when sentencing.
