I worked at a salvage yard many years ago. I'm here to tell you that I could have bought and sold almost anything one could imagine at that yard.

I was offered (for sale) some really interesting items, and could have sold almost anything that could be made portable.

Back then, many yards operated on the fringe of legality. Some were mostly a front operation. Some were absolutely legit.

Sounds like Kennedy's place was pretty old school. Nothing going on there would surprise me.

UPDATE: POLICE HAVE NOW LOCATED THE PERSON OF INTEREST'S VEHICLE BEHIND A BUSINESS IN MORRIS, OK.
-RECORDS SHOW JOE KENNEDY IS CURRENTLY ON A 10 YEAR DEFERRED SENTENCE IN OKMULGEE COUNTY.
-RECORDS SHOW HE WAS CONVICTED in 2013 OF ASSAULT AND BATTERY WITH A DANGEROUS WEAPON FOR SHOOTING AT 6 MEN WHO BROKE INTO HIS SALVAGE YARD. (happened in 2012)
-HE HIT ONE OF THEM, WHO SURVIVED.
-HE WAS ALSO CHARGED IN 1998 WITH ATTEMPTING TO RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY..

Yeah, cut out the cartel nonsense. Nothing screams cartel a like a group of white trash going to a salvage yard on bicycles and trailers.

Ten to one will say the family knew what they were up to, especially that one who just wanted closure.
