Why dismember them?

Easier to move/dispose of the bodies.

It would be fairly difficult for one guy to kill four, and dismember, then toss the bodies in the river but I guess stranger things have happened. Rather, that's a lot of work.

Seems like a cartel scenario, they're fond of hacking people up. Don't think they typically shot them first though.

I'm still trying to work this out in my mind.
If a guy that owns a salvage yard is the person of interest, I can assure anyone he has a method to move bodies or anything else that needs moved to wherever he wants them without dismemberment.
He could have dug a hole and covered it with some scrap. Cadaver dogs could have found them there, but they can also work in rivers. Amazing sense of smell.
Why dump into a river over a bridge which should be where the LEO I would think as the first place to look?
Apparently, there isn't much current there as the bodies and parts were all found in a group vs being swept downstream.
So many questions with no reasonable answers.

Seems like when something like this happens people start thinking 'the cartels' had a hand in it. Back in Ohio a couple of years ago they had a whole family wiped out one night at different locations and everybody was talking drugs and cartels - turns out it was a custody dispute over a child and one family whacked the other family so they could get custody of the kid. This happened not too far from where my younger brother lives.

I'm thinking they set out to rob the salvage yard owner because of rumors of mass amounts of cash and/or gold & silver on hand (or drugs). The victim got the drop on them and shot them first, but either the shootings were not kosher enough to be up front about it or he had something to hide and didn't want LE nosing around. I'm not sure why they were on bicycles - suspended drivers licenses, to be quiet, they didn't own cars, etc.? Sounds like there will be a movie about it some day...
they were pulling wagons i figure guts out of catalytic converters he had scrapped only thing super valuable in salvage i could think you could carry in a wagon
