I'm perfectly aware that "good parents" can raise turds, and great kids can come from worthless parents. It's deeper than just teaching them right and living by example..........that's not enough anymore I'm afraid.
From what I've been hearing it's starts a lot earlier than college and the parents (that's plural) had better get back to having conversations with their children at the dining table instead of turning them into latch key kids and letting them fend for themselves.
I don't think families eat at the dining table these days
And Mrs. Cleaver doesn't wear pearls around the house and gloves when she shops anymore.

No school system will raise my kids, that's what too many parents expect and and unfortunately want. If a school system has differing values that what I want my kids to follow, I will gladly tell/show/prove to my kids why what they're hearing in school is wrong, it's not hard to prove it. The vast majority of parents have no idea what most their kids hear during the day while in class. Those parents who do know and can afford it go private of course.
This all started when the schools assumed the role of parent and provider thus allowing the biologicals to disconnect and assume no responsibility over their spawn. From that point forward, could begin to establish everyone is special and never does anything wrong and always blame the system.
Once school hours end... parents still don’t care and who fills the void, the police. Of course, during the school hours authority isn’t established so all goes to hell once it becomes police issue.
Then the damn cycle just spirals.
There’s so many facets to the failure of this country I believe it’s actually impossible to correct. You address one area, the rest just drag it back down when you move on to the next.

There is a whole lot more to life than teaching our kids how to act. They must be taught why. Why gives the how a foundation. Anything built without a proper foundation will collapse.

Over the decades they have put more and more restrictions on cops and the liberal courts have looked after the bad guys. I can remember when someone smarted off to to the cops they could run you in-but no more, the Democrats have literally ruined our police forces.
