who is piedmonts provider? I didn't see them on the outage list for OGE.

BTW, a big natural gas or propane is on my list if I ever build. They look sweet and no pull starting

We're on Cimarron Electric; some of Piedmont is on OG&E.
We bought ours when we built the house. The wife wasn't sold on the idea at first, but she really likes it now.

I've got a 16kw running on propane on our house in Piedmont; ran for 18 hours, main power just came back on. Life is good.

Same story here. People have seen my 1000 gal tank and act confused when I tell them it's only for the generator. I figure it will run me for a little more than 2 weeks.

Another shout-out to Phat Mike (if he's still around here) for the good deal on the generator a couple years ago. Glad I bought it.

My plan is the nest house I build will have at least a 10k genset on it plumbed directly with NG. Then kill half of the circuits in the house and run everything we need to be able to carry on day to day.

How did you figure how much propane yours would use? I've never seen a spec for ours. We've just got a 500 gallon tank and I've always been curious just how long that would last.

Mine's a Generac 16kW and I think the specs showed just over 2 gph at 50% load. I'm sure your 16kW would at least be close to that.
