So after the taser didn’t work, the cops should have said, “ hope I wasn’t out of line with my taser. Since you refuse to be arrested, let’s talk about it”

That’s not a good place for cops to fight. The guy had the cop by the collar & was bigger than him. If he pulls the cop down against the hard seat & concrete steps; then serious injury to the cop can occur.
Once the taser starts, the guy rips them out I think the cops have every right to use force to get him to comply & in cuffs.
What I don't understand is why the taser didn't drop the guy. I have never been tased but I have seen them in action and people typically go limp. That just seems odd to me, maybe it was "set to stun" and not "drop".

We apparently disagree on this and I respect your opinion. I am not going to argue with you because we both see this differently.

An unfortunate place for a cop to have to take a combatant down with all those seats around.
No safe way to control the scene. Tough place to have a fight. Maybe if they were in the parking lot, it would have gone down differently.
Resisting arrest & fighting with cops is a bad idea.

From what I’ve heard from LEOs, sometimes the barbs don’t get into the flesh, plus not everybody responds to tasers.

I have a friend when hit with a taser he just pulls the leads out and sits down a supervisor arrives. Yes, my friend is built like a brick s***house, he doesn’t perceive pain the way most do, and I’ve seen him do it more than once.

Saying that, the 2 different videos need more context as to why this event even took place. Assault and battery can be both ways.

Why is he getting tased so much?
