FWIW, it's a $3,000 civil penalty to be in possession of a loaded firearm once you submit to TSA screening, you are not allowed to withdraw once the firearm is discovered and you may be subject to federal criminal prosecution, even if state prosecution is precluded.
These stupid "journalists" are going to get people in trouble here.
So the key is to make sure your firearm is unloaded prior to accidentally entering a checkpoint with your gun.
