My wife and I have been taking care of some displaced children for roughly 2 years now. Among them, we took in a baby girl around the middle of January this year. As luck would have it, she now has the possibility for adoption and we're getting a chance to make her a permanent part of our family. Unfortunately, the process is an arduous and expensive legal game so we are conducting a giveaway to to offset the legal expenses.

For a 10$ donation you will be entered into the prize drawing. For a $25 donation, you will receive 3 entries.

This is a Harrington and Richardson Pardner Pump protector 12 Gauge shotgun. It's their home defense model and can chamber 2 3/4" as well as 3" shells. It has synthetic furniture, 5 round capacity, brass bead front sight, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a weaver rail.

This is just an informal event among friends for a good cause. Upon selection, the winner will provide me the address of the CONUS FFL holder of their choosing (I can assist in finding one in your area) and the item will be shipped promptly. For winners in the area, I'll just have you sign a hand receipt stating you're legal to own said item. Of course, item is given AS-IS, however the item is new and unfired.

There are a lot of details I can't publish because things are still tied up in the courts, but if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me.

I apologize for the confusion, if you're thinking you've seen this post before... you have. I've been thoroughly harassed and handicapped, but such has been the entire adoption process. WE PRESS ON.

To those who have donated already, we are IMMENSELY appreciative.

In all, we have about 85 entries. If there are at least 350 entries, we also have:

We spent the morning in court Tuesday. Long story short, the courts ruled that when they're done with their shenanigans, the baby will be placed in our home permanently. The war's not over, but it's a DECISIVE win and we now have the high ground.

More court dates, more waiting games. Things will continue to go well, so long as the people involved continue to do their part.

We've had just under a hundred entries so far, and we're looking at just about 2 weeks left until the drawing date. I don't have a feasible solution for the pay-pal issue, so we're stuck with snail-mail. If you're local, I can meet you around the city.

Well, a final thanks to all those who gave to help our cause. Without your help we'd have little chance of rescuing this little girl from a hellish future. I wish I could post more details, but believe me, hell is no exaggeration.

Anyway, we put all the tickets in a can and it was shaken for quite a while. In front of the crowd at our house this evening, we decided to let the baby choose the ticket herself. She took her sweet time and fished around the can for over a minute before she chose one; ticket number 576140. It belongs to a John Tyler who works in the B-52 building on Tinker. I'll be tracking him down tomorrow to go over the particulars.

It'll be quite an event when this is all said and done, and it won't be a battle that we won on our own. So again, for all the contributions, we'll be eternally grateful.
