Thought I would share a pic of the '94. It had factory tan leather interior.

I've driven Tulsa to Little Rock a lot over the years. Past Ft Smith it is not flat, there are a bunch of hills in that stretch.@CSeverns other than a set of tires, I'd check the heater hoses and top radiator hose. If they look decent I'd run the balls out of it just like it is. Don't fall into the trap of because it's 3x years old you need to start throwing parts at it. Today's replacement parts are absolute junk! OKC to Conway is easy peasy flat cruise control highway. Run ethanol free gas in it and drive it. Nice truck!
Yepper, the boat anchor vortec 350. I plucked her out of a field for a grand, threw new crank bearings, an edelbrock cam and lifters in her and she's ran like a top ever since. You know it.
GM has used the 8x6.5 2500 lug pattern well into the 60's I cant recall what year it started, but it was long ago, Those years where parts are being changed can mess parts guys up. Latest was RAM and its new bodys that came out in 2019 BUT they continued building OLD BODYS up until 2023 I think. old boys are 5x139.7 lug pattern NEW went to the 6x139.7 same as GM lol But just to screw others up. Center bores are larger on the RAM. Keeping people from dropping OE GM wheels on themI thought 95 was the changeover year from 6 to 8 lug on the 2500s.
If you want to get even stranger. My 94 is a 350TBI with a 4L60 transmission. Notice there is no "E" on that. It's a transitional model.
The 92 is a 350TBI and a 700r4.
My grandpa had a Lincoln for a daily driver and kept the truck garaged most of the time. He really only drove it when he needed to haul or pull something (every couple weeks or so). But it never sat long enough for the battery to die.Did I miss it or has someone else already asked about how long the truck might have been sitting or was it maintained and driven regularly before @CSeverns got it and started driving it? Could make some difference in what needs to be checked out or what maintenance might be needed for the trip.
I think I’d rather just bite the bullet and drop the tank. They were known to go out, seen people cut access holes in the beds just so they didn't have to drop the tank.
Compared to i49 between Alma and Fayetteville, terrain on i40 across the entire state of Arkansas ain't real excitingI've driven Tulsa to Little Rock a lot over the years. Past Ft Smith it is not flat, there are a bunch of hills in that stretch.
Me too, I've changed several.I think I’d rather just bite the bullet and drop the tank.
