Well:

Bin Laden got away at Tora Bora.
The Taliban escaped to Pakistan and continue to wreak havoc.
Mullah Omar is still on the loose.
We have more troops in Afghanistan, and more troops fighting now than ever before in Afghanistan.

It's difficult for me to blame that all on Afghan peasants.

Got to be some responsibility in there somewhere.

Of course, it doesn't have much to do with the title of this thread: GOP 2012

It wouldn't be true OSA without a little "thread-drift". :D

I guess everyone has forgotten why the 'political' forum was shut down.
I'm surprised tho'...other than a couple cheap shots, most of the arguing has been civil and thoughtful...
I don't understand what use arguing Bush vs. Obama is, but have fun with it.

Our party will have to find a soul before it can once again become relevant

hey red, not to inflate any heads or anything, but... i find your writing and insight informative and thought provoking. so, let me ask this, What gave the dems "soul"? i'm trying to figure out what its going to take in 2012 for the repubs to "win the hearts and minds" of america.

most of the people i talk to have/had NO CLUE whats going on. IMO, had the rupubs had somebody with charisma like obama, the results would have been at least interesting.

its obvious that the right needs a game plan. and you are correct that the base is fractured. i just think that we are headed in a direction that parties won't matter any more. but for now we must deal with it. if the right does not come together soon, we are in some deep ****
