My (much) better half no longer says a word about my office/reloading room.
We both have offices, or at least rooms with our desks and whatnot in them. About a decade or so ago she was carping on me (read: mentioned the seeming disorder maybe 3 times in 6 months) about the room.
I said "Look, in 15 years I have never said one word about the state in which you keep your office (which, BTW, has a clear desk and is disgustingly orderly and straight ). I expect the same in return. "
And I glared at her.
... and said please.
It's been all sugar and spice since.
Ya gotta nip it in the bud.
