I’ve been getting emails recently that say they are from “Gun Owners of America”.

I noticed on the email address the country code of AU (Australia). The emails have been giving alerts to upcoming anti 2A issues and asking for money. Is somebody trying to run a scam on the pro-gun community using the GOA name?

Anybody else getting these?

I didn't give them my new email address when I got the cell phone (nor do I intend to), but they did send a lot of emails asking for donations. However, I'd think the Aussie address might be a concern.

Have you checked their website for contact info?

I've been digging through stuff (my old dialup email account is closed), and I can't find an email address for 'em anywhere.

I got one of those emails today as well wanting to send a pre-written letter to representatives to vote no against gun bills. Is this the same one you got. I didn't look at where it was from or from what web site it went to.

I did some editing to get my personal stuff out, but it was flagged as spam. If you look at the address, you can see the country code AU in the email address.
