Just to clear this up:
If they put up a "No firearms" sign, I have their express and implied consent to carry firearms on their property?

The legal definition of tresspass in OK requires by the letter of the law a "NO Tresspass" sign.

If I were an attorney, which I am not, I would argue that a gun buster sign posted on a business was the legal equivalent of a no tresspass sign.

However, until a court of law makes that determination and rules accordingly I for one will continue to ignore gun buster signs posted on non-prohibited locations and do it with a clear conscience.

Each to his own...

Call me what ya like but if I walk into a store for instance and don't see a sign and they do not have it properly marked per the statutes I am guilty of nothing and in order to be guilty of violating such a statute the criteria would have to be met on both ends.

This is the exact opposite of what I am talking about. Where did I say that they don't need to post a sign? This whole thread is about prohibited places and people leaving guns in the car. Obviously, if there is no sign then carry all you want as long as it's not one of the pre-defined no gun zones in the SDA.

If a sign is posted you are trespassing when carrying. You have the potential, small as it may be of negative consequences and should mitigate those as much as you can.

I totally agree with the part I colorized there.
This is why I feel improving the legal language to benefit the CCW holders is important.

Wasn't that changed in 2006 to where signs are no longer required to be posted? I'm not positive on that, just what I heard and trying to dig up on the google-web.

That would be news to me.

And is a question that needs to be answered because if true then all of us concealed means concealed guys may actually be violating the law when we enter a posted no guns business.
