Just thought I would let everyone know how they charge on the east coast, I have a friend in Charlotte that just went to a fair sized show in Greensboro that cost 8 bucks with a dollar off coupon, no parking fees and he said the smaller shows are normally 7 or 8 bucks and they also have dollar off coupons.

I used to attend every show. Now I only attend if I am actually looking to buy something. Except for Wannamachers, that is the only time I will pay it even if I have no interest or means to buy at the time.

Hmmm. I know a guy who puts on Gun Shows at fair prices. Stillwater on September 15-16th will be $8.00 before any discount and Claremore on September 22-23rd is only $7.00. High priced admission is the main reason that I started putting on shows

By the sound of it, Oklahoma is the only area that gets away with such ridiculous prices (as far as I hear). I went with a buddy to the grand national show in OKC because he wanted some help picking an AK. A guy with a couple tables was even pissed about the door prices and was talking up Dave's shows a bit. The sky high prices are just driving away business. The promoters need to understand that every dollar they raise their prices, they're taking dollars out of the pockets of not only the patrons, but also the vendors that purchase their tables. I think they need a simple lesson in economics.
