True but what stores don't? A list of stores in Tulsa area would be nice.

Don't know about Tulsa but in OKC gun buster signs are pretty rare.

A number of furniture stores on furniture row on Reno Ave display them. Most of the hospitals display them. Some claim that 7-11 displays them but I have never personally seen one. There's an Indian food restaurant on NE 23 with one and that's the only eating establishment I've ever seen with one.

Other than that, those are all I've seen in OKC.

Two things I have said in the past about this topic. First, the tresspassing complaint. There are two main trains of thought on this, the sign is the same as saying no tresspassing. If they catch you inside the store they can file tresspassing charges right then. The other is that only when asked and you refuse to leave then it is tresspassing, if you leave no harm no foul. I'm more apt to follow the second because of the saying that has already been said, "Concealed is concealed" Even if you are spotted, I would think that they would either ask you to leave which I would or they call the police and in spirit of making things easiest the officer would just ask me to leave. I think that the only way files would be pressed was if the employee/manager really insisted and I don't think they care enough. If they do then when it comes time to go to court over your ticket that employee/manager is going to have to go to court which is even more trouble to them.

I think it comes down to liability and thats why you see the gunbuster signs. If they were to put into law like they did with the keeping of your firearms in the parking lot at work and put the sole responsibility on the gunowner and take it away from the store, which is where it honestly lies anyways, then most gunbuster signs would be a thing of the past. Take this scenario, you are in a gunbuster place and there is a robbery and you shoot the bad guy as a result and it's a justified shooting. Is the company going to file charges on you? Especially in Oklahoma? No they'd take a huge hit by the public. But on the flip side, you shoot at the bad guy and accidently shoot an innocent bystander, and they or the family sued they of course are going to include the company it happened at too because they have the deeper pockets and as we all know those insurance companies are more apt to settle. But if they have that sign up they have an open and shut case, that guy should never have been in our store so it's all on him. If they didn't have the sign they wouldn't have that and would probably end in a settlement of some kind.

Even if it actually worked that way, trespassing is not a felony, and costs, what?, ~$250-$300 including court costs? (I don't feel like checking.)

It comes down to cost vs. benefit.

You have to be trespass warned before the pd will issue a citation. We do it all the time at the hospital.Warn them,if they come back we arrest them and hold for PD.Even then sometimes PD won't cite them.

I can name 3 7-11's in OKC that have them. 23rd and Penn. 36th and Penn. 31st and Classen.

Since they are franchises, I would bet that all the ones owned by the same franchisee are the same.

MidFirst Bank posted a NO Weapons on their door within the last year. I will soon no longer bank with them.

Warehouse Market has the gunbuster signs here in Tulsa. There are a few more but I cant think of them right now. QT,the biggest convenience store chain in Tulsa, does NOT have them and of course Wal-Mart doesn't.
