Bison is excellent...even steaks. You can probably get some at your local meat store.
Seems I remember hearing thier closet animal relative is pig.
Did it taste a lil cinammon?
Nope, they are carnivores. Related to dogs, coons, weasels, cats, sea lions, and seals.
I take my hat off to you. I have been one uped.Never had bear to eat. Probably the most exotic I've ever ate was some young beaver

I'd pass on the bison burger... unless it's mixed with another meat, maybe? Bison is very very lean, kind of like venison. Therefore, IMO, it doesn't make a great burger. In fact, I had one once, in Boulder, CO. Restaurant called Turley's, the night my wife proposed (NYE 1999). The burger was HORRIBLE! The driest thing I've ever eaten... it was like... cardboard. Sawdust. Ugh. Too dry for a burger, IMO.I have not had the privilege of tasting any wild game. I sampled some poorly made deer sausage and thats it. I want to taste a bison burger though.

I think they are omnivores.
