OK...lay a couch cushion of the floor. Tell her she has to be in a standing position with one foot on each side of the cushion and start jumping up and down. When the baby comes out and bounces off the cushion, Dad has to catch it and bite the cord in two (I saw this part on Coneheads) and then hand it to mom and you're done.

Not a bad idea to have plan A, B and C in place.

The drop in barometric pressure with this front passing is thought to bring on labor.

Take it from me. NEVER tell your wife you have calved or helped a foal. That will NOT get you brownie points... trust me- I know things.

One thing is for sure, That baby is coming whether you do anything or not, whether you like it or not. Those little folks kinda make up thier own mind on when they want to see the world. As a medic, I have delivered 3 in the field, one with complications, it finally sunk in that its going to happen no matter what you do.
