its either a deliberate effort to defeat the use of suppressors or the politicians making the bill know nothing about the combination of suppressors and ammo.

Another question just came to mind. Speaking of ballistics, how much effect would subsonic ammo have on a critter at a longer distance? I know shot placement is vital, but with the reduced speed of a subsonic round, how well will the bullet perform? I quit killing critters a long time ago, so I have no idea.

@Fyrtwuck I have to assume that's the reason for the amendment. . .

Kevin Wallace is my rep, and I know him personally. He's a big hunting guy, and well aware of how suppressors work. I haven't talked to him about this, but I *suspect* it's because of humane hunting aspect.

On the other hand, there are a lot of folks who hunt hogs with suppressed .300Blk
